about two weeks ago when she started school she came home fine then that night she got a stuffy nose and her throat started hurting than 1 hour later she had a fever, and throwing up. so we brought her to the doctor the next day and he tested her throat that was fine he tested her blood and siad that it looked like a bactiral infection and sent her home with antibiotics for 10 days. about the second day on antibiotics the fever left along with the cold. so my five year old was able to go back to school all this week then friday she woke up with stuffy nose sore throat and so we brought her to doctor today and her gave her the same antibiotics and the fever is now back. is this normal or could there be something serious happening and what should i do?please please reply

Have you asked at the school if this is happening with other children ?
Possibly a virus at the school ?

Wish you well

have both of your children tested for Influenza A, and H1N1. Fever, sore throat and vomiting are all signs.

Hey I am glad I saw this especially since I see you live in Mandeville. I live in Slidell and swine flu is running rampant in the schools. I was in the ER today for a health issue and the doctor said they are seeing many cases of it and it is really bad. He had six cases of it while I was there. Get her tested for swine flu ASAP! For fever my pediatrician advise to alternate tylenol and then motrin to bring down a fever but check with your Dr. first.

The problem with swine flu is it gets deep in the lower lobes of the lungs and settles there and people have a hard time fighting it off.

A 13 year old girl in Mississippi (Pearl River area) just died of this. She had no other health problems was diagnosed with swine flu and three days later her mom went in her room to check on her and she was dead. The ER Dr. drilled it into my head today that if I get it to get to my doctor or an ER especially if I get lung congestion. I would bring your daughter to the ER or her Dr.
