We bought a 25L tank 3 weeks ago. We set it up, left it for a week and bought two guppies and a snail.
A week later we bought another guppy, a catfish and a siamese fighting fish.
Two weeks on the fish seem happy. The guppies play together, the siamese fighting fish keeps to itself, and the catfish and snail both suck on the tank.
I clean the tank once a week, remove a third of the water, and prepare and add the new water. The fish seem happy.
However there's two issues. The petshop advised we need to also clean out the gravel using a handheld tube/pump. This isn't an issue but leads on to the second problem as we have baby snails.
Will our fish die because we only clean out about a third of the water a week rather than use the gravel cleaner? However I don't want to killl our baby snails.
