My fish keep getting stuck on the filter!?

My fish were doing fine but when i came home late today I noticed that one of my rummynose tetras, rhasboras, and even my mystery snail were all stuck onto the filter! (The part where water enters). WTF! They were doing fine before. I"m worried that its not really the filter but my fishes being weak and sick with something...because they were fine but today 3 fishes are stuck.

Why is this happening...

How can i stop this...i heard somewhere that you can cover up the water intake thingie with a sponge??
 
thats what happenned to my fishies...turned out they were sick...:[

well..you could always go to the local fish store/pet store and ask them for some fish medicine..the one that keeps the water clean..and keeps the fishes healthy....
 
Healthy fish should be able to swim away from the filter intake unless it's so powerful it's hoovering up everything else in the tank?

Test your water chemistry and do a partial water change, I would suspect they are sick and are weak, so could not escape the filter.
