ok i got 2 fish like almost 2 years ago, 2 goldfish at the fair. they have grown to be huge like one is 8in and one is 6in, anyways, we went on vacation this last weekend from friday to monday and when we got home monday night our 8in fish was in the sink! our fish tank is right above our sink and somehow he had gotten out and was laying in the sink. he had fallen into a dish that had about a 1/2 inch of water in it. we thought he was dead. my dear husband picked him up and saw his eye move so he put him back in the water. over the next couple hours he just got better, his fins started to raise back up, he started being able to stay balanced with out tipping at all and looked like he was feeling better....so now it has been 3 days since this happened and we looked and now he is growing a white fuzz, furr type thing on only one side of his body. we think it was the side of his body that was not in the little bit of water the dish was in. I just today took the fish out of the tank and cleaned the tank really well, because we said it may be that, but the fact that the other fish is fine we dont think it is that. my husband read online that we should buy somthing called meleflex, or somthing like that. or try to wipe it off with a non dyed paper towel!
is there anything we can do? or is this fish just dyeing? is this furr contagious to the other fish? any help is muchly appreciated! thank you so much and my fish thanks you too!
