my first cell phone, which plan and what kind?

Okay so I am 15 years old, and My dad will be getting me a phone this summer, and i would like a affordable price for the phone and a good plan, i live in canada, which cell phone provider should i choose from? I barely text, so a good plan for me would be just calling i guess, I have no use for texting, and which phone is a good one for starters. thank youuuu
