...our future family? My fiance and I are planning on getting married in a year and a half. We are planning on one day starting a family. My fiance is an avid hunter and his dream job is to work for the Wildlife and Fisheries. However he really wants to know if his dream job will affect his dream of being a good father which is more important to him. He is planning on joining the local sherrif's department in a few months to get the required experience in law enforcement. However I was wondering how a job in Wildlife and Fisheries might affect our future family life. He wants to be there for his children and I surely wouldn't mind having him around!!! I was wondering if anyone had any experience in the Wildlife and Fisheries and what was the experience like? Good or bad for a family man? Night shifts? Flexible schedules? Anything that might be helpful for us to get an idea about this new job. We don't really have a personal relationship with anyone with a job in this area to ask questions about it so any information would be helpful! Thanks!
Yes, I am definitely concerned about the law enforcement position, but it is only for two years. And, well, if this will help him to achieve his dream then i want it for him. Even if i have to be paranoid every night for two years! haha!
He will be starting from the bottom. He only has a highschool education and no intentions of going to college as of right now. And he plans on working for the state. I'm not sure which area of interest he might want to work in though. He wants to be a Game Warden mostly but ti depends on which areas would more likely fit his needs in time and money.

A great job...take it. Your family will not suffer just the opposite, they will love it too.
