...find this very inappropriate.? I was putting my younger son to bed when I walked into the hall and overheard my fiance telling my 15 yr old daughter about the time he went to jail when he was younger. He said he was telling her the reasons to not go to jail. But to me all she probably got from the talk was well he was in jail when he was younger and mom's dating him, so it must be ok for me to date guys in trouble with the law. We had this issue before when he told her he had done drugs as a youth and one day I told her she is not dating a boy who does drugs, and her response was well your boyfriend has done drugs. teens don't learn from your mistakes, and he is an example of men to her, so in my opinion by him telling her these "war" stories of his youth is bad and I am seriously thinking he is not a good role model for my kids. I don't want my kids to know these things when they are so young and impressionable. Am I reading too much into this or taking these things the wrong way?
