My Favs Question

Is the my favs icon software or hardware? Is it just software that can be put on other phones or is it actually in the hardware, like wifi would be? Question comes up because I want to know if it's possible to run the my favs icons on an unlocked Cingular/AT&T branded Pearl.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Man if you could find that link for me I'd be extremely grateful. I've searched and read through like 50 posts now in the last 2 days and they all say something different. Nothing that tells me for sure. It'd be great to get that info, as I'm having trouble getting it in the 8100 forum.

Click the link above. I don't believe the instructions were released to us though... I saw your other threads, I have MyFaves, of course I'm on an actual TMO branded pearl, but I'm on the Italian OS. I wouldn't think it would make a difference. But the thread above pretty much proves that it's software. MyFaves is also a rate plan, which means even if you don't have the software on your phone, the calls to your MyFaves still aren't costing you anything.
