necessarily wrong? My father just mentioned to my mother that he had recently been chatting with old friends from his school days, including an old girlfriend, and my mother became very distraught to discover he had been doing this.
My parents have been married for over 30 years and my father has never cheated or anything like that. They have had several arguments about his tendency to look at other women, but I assume that's fairly typical in marriages!
Is it generally considered okay for a married man to write girls he dated back in his school days? On the one hand those are the women men most often cheat with statistically speaking, so maybe just out of decency to a spouse it's best not to renew contact with them. Why worry them?
But on the other hand, it is okay to find (or be found by) and chat with old male friends about school memories, so should old girlfriends really be off-limits? He claims he didn't even really have a serious relationship with her, and didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with mentioning it to my mother.
Thanks!
