They are paranoid that there is Korean War 2. They think it's going to be WW3 if it happens.

What should I say? I am really stumped because danger/injury is imminent if a war like that happens.

I'm working on becoming a Nurse Corps officer in the Army btw.

If you mean your parents, they have no control over you if you are over 18.

If you mean your spouse and kids, if they do not support you in your desires you may as well forget it. Either that or get a divorce.

But either way you can not become a NC officer in the Army unless you get a four year Bachelors degree in nursing. So you got some time to deal with their views so do not push the issue until you actually graduate college.

NK is going to nuke civilians. if you're in the military you will be safer than them. Your biggest worry should be Africa. The Nigerians are acting like all that oil under their country is theirs and sooner or later we will be sending them troops to correct their wayward thinking. then being a military nurse will be dangerous.

Grow a pair, let go of mommy's apron strings, and live your life the way you want to! You are a grown person, and are capable of making your own decisions. Do it! Do it now!

Once you are 18, your parents have no say in the matter. If you truly want to join...go for it. Honestly, a Korean conflict is doubtful...that crazy guy over there just likes to thump his chest and act like he is someone important in the world...he isn't...
