My employee called me at 7:00pm tonight and confessed to stealing money from my register while i wasn't there....I am very upset over this because i have employed this individual for 8 years now and they know through past experiences that I am willing to help out "IF ASKED".... i feel that lately this employee has been slacking and previous to this incident I have had talks and meeting about this issue so I am now considering firing them because I am sure I will not be able to face this person with the respect I once did! My question is if she confessed to stealing and has been slacking off lately can I fire them and as a result will they receive unemployment?
