I got an Electro-harmonix Metal Muff pedal for xmas yesterday. I played with it yesterday and it worked until I turned it off and I haven't used it since. I tried to play with it just now and I have to hit the bypass button and turn the pedal off or else no sound comes out of the amp. I've tested both cables involved and there's no feasible way it could have been damaged (it's been sitting on the floor for a day and nothing has even touched it). That said, if I turn it on it just cuts off my signal immediately. What's wrong with it?? The volume on the pedal, the guitar and the amp are up, but if i don't bypass the pedal it just abruptly stops for no apparent reason. I shook it and nothing rattled and there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it from the outside. I've tried playing with the levels and those of my amp and switching cables, but no dice.
