my ds lite stopped reading my games?

i had my ds for 1 year and worked fine. It stopped reading games a week ago. it could not read any of my games. My 4 yr old bro likes to play super smash bros. and was upset he couldn't play it. my brother that it was the game that wasn't working so he LICKED it . Surprisingly it worked for 2 minutes. i am guessing that the saliva did something to the game card. Any solutions?
 
Do you hear the game click into place? If so and its still not working. Unfortunately it does sound like that system needs some repair. Please call 1-800-255-3700 for more information and troubleshooting. That number is Nintendos customer service number. If the system is one year old it would be out of warranty and there would be a charge for the repair. But call and see what they can do for you. They are open from 7am to 7pm pacific time 7 days a week. If you are unable to get an answer you can also visit support.nintendo.com
