Isn't it possible to put 2.1 on a modded Droid? Its Motorola, so I have no idea where it stands with custom roms.
Does anyone know a good Motorola modding site similar to XDA? That's the only thing stopping me from getting a Cliq, not knowing who's cooking up roms.
On to your topic, Motorola has the Droid's 2.1 set for Q2, I think, so you may have a bit of a wait.

Sure, rooted Droid owners have had 2.1 for some time now, Live wallpapers and all. Here's a site full of development for the Droid.
