My download speed is slower that my download speed on speedtest.net?!?

I get a download speed of 1.69 mbps on speedtest.net , but my download speed is meagre (50kbps) which is much slower than my normal (200kbps). All relevant drivers are updated, i am using a wifi connection of 2.0mbps which runs on a aztech router(i have tried upgrading the firmware, but i cant find the firmware upgrade), i am using windows 7(this problem seems to be quite common among windows 7 users, i tried just about every solution on the net), i run several tune-up programs and I run antivirus scans regularly
