This is my first female dog. Shes almost 10 months (shes a boxer) and just went into her first heat. Ive done a little research on it so i can sleep peacefully tonight knowing ive done the right thing, but i need to know what else i can do to make her feel "at ease." I have given her a blanket and a pair of old boxers to put on and when the pet store opens im going to go ask about DOGGY DAIPERS. Is this a bad idea? Or would it be helpful due to all the dripping blood. I know she would need to go potty more so a daiper would make that difficult.
Also should i keep her in a kennel at night and when im gone? used to crate train her but i stopped as she started to learn more.
