ok so my dog, christi, has this new bad habbit. SHE WONT STOP WHINING! and its not because she is injured or anything she just wont stop till she gets what she wants. someone help usssss!!!!
I see your answer right there in your question. She wont stop til I give her what she wants.....so she has learned that the behavior is getting her what she wants. That needs to stop. You need to turn your back on her when she whines at you or walk away into another room (let her follow) and distract her with something YOU want her to have.
ignore her and don't pay attention to her till she stops. the moment she stops, praise her. ignore her again if she continues. you may find that when you first ignore her, she will whine louder and stronger but keep strong.
