...gets fearful and growls? Today at the beach she attacked another dog randomly! she growls sometimes when other dogs get near me because she is very protective and jealous when other dogs come around me. she has issues in the past with growling but this time she attacked it, didnt bite it just snarled which i know iw really bad! I know not taking her the beach is good but what are other things i can do? Also are muzzles humane and okay to use?
she is a golden retreiver and is 5 and people have told me its wierd to have goldens with aggression problems.
also, i want to help her because i dont want her to be euthanized at her age because she the best dog and such a good girl and i love her so much
First of all Horse lover u are a horse lover not a dog lover so shut up! why i say she gets jealous is for example when i am standing away from her and she goes to sniff other dogs she doesnt bark at them. how i know she is not untrained is because she plays with other dogs fine its only when they come close to me that she acts like that. she likes to play with other dogs. if it was true that she was not socialized then she would act like that towards all dogs at all times no matter how far away i was!
