My Dog has lost a lot of weight. he has stopped eating food completely. at times very unresponsive. very lethargic. He has been sick for the last 5 days and the vet has given him drips twice already. He is giving off a very thick yellowish mucus from his mouth and also a very foul body odor. he looks very down from his eyes and he hasnt touched his food a bit. we put water in front of him he gets close to it then pulls back and pulls on the bowl or tips it over. Today we put him inside because it was raining out and ive been keeping watch on him all night. for the last 30 minutes he has been putting his face in water. not licking the water like he normally does but it looks like he is biting the water and he takes breaks. he drools out most of what he drinks and he looks as if he is going to vomit/gagging. he is more responsive now he is moving around, wagging his tail more, reacting to sounds but he is very thirsty. i have never seen him drink water this way and i have not seen him use his tongue for anythign for the last few days including drinking water. This is all the details I can give at the moment. I live on a small island in the caribbean and the vet here doesnt seem to be very capable which is why i post here. i really love my dog a lot and im very worried i havent slept right for the last few days and i really need any help i can get.
