...take her to a vet? My dog was playing with another dog at the dog park and the other dog got carried away and we had to take her to the vet for some stitches. The vet said that she had to do two layers of stitches. When we first picked her up from the vet her wound was swollen but that went down the next day. This week we moved from the US to Canada so during the trip I decided to take her e-collar of to make her more comfortable and she actually took out a few stitches, leaving some thread out. The open area scabbed over but she actually took the scab off and now it's scabbed over again but it's swollen at that spot. I've put Neosporin on it and I also give her antibiotic orally twice a day. Should I worry about the swelling? Should I take her to the vet, or will the swelling go down? What should I do with the thread that's still out since the rest is gone because it was absorbable.
