My dog has been eating about twice as much as he normally does?

Is this normal? Could he be ill?
I have absolutly no problem taking him to the vet but I wanted another opinion.

But what is going on? How did he even GET twice as much food? How long has this been going on?

You can take him to the vet on Monday with a stool sample to find out. Could be worms. But it could be other things as well, so it would be helpful to answer the other q's I asked.

Your dog could have worms. I would take your dog to the vet. Don't just leave food out and let him eat as much as he wants.
