My dog has bad fish breath, what could the cause of this be?

Our chocolate lab has had very fishy breath since we got her as a puppy and she is now a year old and still has that fishy breath. One day her breath isn't too bad the next day it smells like she ate a dead fish. Tell me what you think I should do.

It might be the food you give her. Some dog foods are made with fish as an ingredient. You can take her to the vet to get her teeth cleaned or they do sell doggie toothpaste. Also, I have heard that giving them charcoal dog treats help with bad breath.
