My dog and I frequent nearby woods (off leash, this is the only way he gets any energy out), but I'm not going to lie, I'm paranoid about coyotes. For starters I almost never walk in the woods with my dog alone, and if I don't see cars in the lot, I won't stay. I always walk in the late morning/early afternoon. I know that coyotes will be more attracted to my pup rather than me, so I was wondering if anyone have any advice for protection against coyotes for my dog?
PS he's 9 months, a large breed (catahoula leopard dog mix) and not aggressive.
