I just bought my dog a new teeth cleaning/dental hygiene bone. I left him alone with it and less than half an hour later he had gnawed through an end of the bone. Needless to say I've had very little experience regarding dogs and I'm not sure if this is normal. Is this behavoir harmful? If so, should I take him to the vet or will his digestive system take care of it? Or is that whats supposed to happen? Please excuse my inexperience, but I could really use some advice.
