My neon started to shake and turn off. When I turn it on I have to accelerate for it to stay on. After I do that it will stay on. But when I go in reverse it will turn off. So I have to accelerate at the same time I brake or else it will turn off. It can't be the fuel pump I bought a new one. Neither the spark plugs I bought those too. and there was a bad intake pipe but i bought that too. I bought a complete fuel system additive to see if it was the fuel system that was dirty but it didn't do nothing and I bought a engine restorer to clean the engine. but that didn't do nothing either. After the car has ran for a while and heats up it won't turn off only if I hit the brakes too hard.
My Dodge Neon 1997 turns off on me. What is the problem?
