...keep it running until its warm? it will die if its not warm, it seems to chug and when I put the gas pedal down firmly and hold it a bit,it shakes and sputters and acts crazy.. sometimes it just cuts out when I'm at a stop...We had a full tune up ,plugs ,wires ,oil ,filters,new starter,new crank shaft sensor
any help would be so appreciated thanks,Elizabeth
its a 1999,my husband thought it was that valve too,he wanted to know if he could get it tested if he took it off
and yes really bad gas mileage,my husband is doing most of the work on it but he keeps fixing stuff and its still the same way.
it has a new air filter ,injectors are good,he checked those today,hes at work now ,so he wanted me to try and get some help,we're trying to get it done at home without taking it in as we are low on cash,he knows how to fix most of it ,just can't diagnose it.
 
it sounds like your choke is sticking. i bet your gas mileage is very bad too. if it's not that there is something wrong with your timing, but i would bet it's your choke. take it back to where you had the work done and have them check.
