This is excessively long, im sorry. Feel free to skim though. 
My usual doctor I see (we'll call her X) referred me to a psychiatrist to get tested for ADD. I'm 16 and have alway had massive concentration issues, but have always figured out a way to deal with them up until about 4 years. Recently, my concentration problems have been getting so bad, I can go a full school day without absorbing anything. I'm talking about not even being able to tell you what we're even learning. So I took X's advice, and got tested. The psychiatrist (we'll call her Y) told me I have severe ADD and would really benefit from medication, though it wouldn't fix everything. Y faxed over the results to my clinic so I could go talk to X about medication. Well, X is on vacation for two weeks, and since a new trimester started, I wanted to see if I could talk to my other doctor (we'll call her Z). I see Z just as much as X. When Z entered the room, she immediately said "Ive never seen you before in my life, and you're asking me to prescribe you medication for ADD without Any results or notes from a psychiatrist. I won't prescribe you anything." now, I had mono at the time, so I was sick, tired, and not wanting to fail classes. I started crying, told her she's seen me at least 6 times in the last 3 months for regular check ups and what not, and that Y faxed everything over. Z said "you're unstable, I think you need to be tested for more than just your so called 'ADD'. I will not prescribe medication to some who is just fishing for drugs. I don't know you, it's not happening. Try some sleep, and stop the fake sickness." and she walked out.
Now, wtf. I've been seeing Z regularly for at least 6 years. I watched Y fax over my results. And Im most definitely not 'fishing for drugs'. She didn't even believe that I had ever been to see Y before!
I filled out a complaint before I left, and my parents may have filed one with the county. But is this really something that I should not be mad about?
