My doctor misdiagnosed me...BIG. Should I do something?

A year ago, I went to the doctor for a sore wrist after I fell on it rather hard. For the next three months, I kept going back because my wrist was hurting more and was swelling. I wore a brace for about three months. I asked if there was any possibility that I broke it, and she said that it was impossible, it was just a bad sprain. When I left for college, I went to a different doctor who immediately sent me for x-rays. Turns out I broke my wrist, and it healed wrong, so (yay me) I get to have it re-broken and set. On top of that, I also have a hard cyst about half a centimetre in diameter formed at the break, which is causing most of the pain. My doctor (the one I have at college) tells me he's very surprised that my former doctor didn't take x-rays, and insisted for 3 months that it was a sprain, even with the symptoms presented (there is a hard spot that you can actually see and feel where the cyst is). It's a weird break (literally the end of my radius broke, so the cyst, when it formed, pushed part of my radial head into my wrist a little, so it is rubbing onto my carpal bones, causing pain and a bump there). Should I inform my old doctor about what happened? Or what sort of action should be taken here?
