We had recently bought a new LCD HD TV. We set up everything as it should be, the Direct TV remote does work but now it only works if it's 2 inches away from the receiver. Some suggest to turn off all the light and I did. I wiped off the receiver circle in the front and on the remote. I also changed the batteries to fresh new ones. With my old TV this was never a problem but now it's getting really frustrating. Also we noticed that with the new TV we can't change the volume using the Direct TV remote (unlike our older TV) so what's up with that? Answers are appreciated and thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
My Direct TV remote won't work unless it's an inch away from the receiver!?
