go to dell.com and browse around their USB Drivers. most likely you havent removed it but it may have been corrupted somehow. so from dell.com there should be a driver dowwnload section. search for your dell model and get the USB driver install it and reboot your computer. and hopefully it should work. if not go to device manager on your computer and search for the usb section disable it enable it and restart your computer

first do a simple test -- does your USB port recognize any other devices (printer, external hard drive, external CD/DVD drive, scanner, etc. -- whatever you have available) when you plug them in to the same port where your flash drive won't work?

what happens when you try the flash drive in a different USB port?
