When I turn on the ignition I can hear the fuel pump cycle a few seconds as normal. Start the car then dies just a few seconds later. If I crank it immediately after it dies it will not restart (just cranks). If I cycle the key off then restart it will start then die seconds later. No trouble codes. I removed the air intake tube and sprayed some B12 into the intake while starting it and it won't stay running. I also held the throttle open a little and sprayed the B12 again while starting and the engine revved up but immediately died again. So I feel pretty sure it is not fuel related. Must be spark. What can I do to test.

I think it's your fuel pump. you can check your spark by taking a spark plug out , keep it connected to the spark plug wire and set it on the engine or something metal . crank the engine over and see if you can see spark. you might need another person to do this. if it sparks, it's fuel issue. if it doesn't it's a spark issue.

Anytime an engine won't stay running it's because of lack of fuel, spark, or air. I'm willing to bet your fuel pressure is low. It could be a clogged fuel line or clogged up fuel filter. Considering the age of the car, has the fuel filter ever been replaced?
