my dash lights have gone out what could be the problem its for a 87 ford laser

There probably is a short somewhere in the wiring

your light probably when out... i mean the actual bulb. yes there are bullbs.

all of the lights at once, is most likely the headlight on/off switch...

if it's just one section, or they went out a section at a time, it's burned out bulbs.....

and finally if the dash or console has been apart lately it could be the ground... a smart rap with your fist will sometimes cure that....

A bad headlight switch. Fords are notorious for headlight problems with this year(s).

It could be lose wiring. If all your lights are going out and don't stay on but start out on for a short time it may also be your alternator.
