...last high volume? Ok so my dad got a new Pontiac Torrent 2008 with standard 6 speakers, my brother plugs in his psp and plays his music with loud bass and he sets the volume to its highest 45 and bass to +7 treble to -7.... Will the speakers get damaged or something bad happened and will the speaker condition be the same say 4 years from now? Also the volume in the car has these features like bass -7 to +7 so dont the manufactorers build the car knowing IT can with stand it?
OH BTW my brothers uses de music on weekends for about onli half an hour nd every other day of the week 15 min not tooo long so will that accoun for any speaker damage

Just because the volume can go "higher" does not mean that it should, there are lots of variables involved that can affect the volume, bass, treble from song to song, or from different input devices, depending on the input voltage, and even from the quality of the music source (mp3) and even as far as how it was mastered/mixed in the studio. The controls are there to adjust for these differences. So basically if it doesn't sound right, it isn't. I have no way of telling what it is like at 45 volume with bass and treble up to +7, so I can't say weather or not it is damaging the speakers.
