my dad cosigned on a car loan, does this mean hes on the registration too?

My dad cosigned a car loan for me and on the registration form the dealer gave me, under owner(s), it said "Dave Smith (me) or John Smith (my dad)"

Does this mean my dad should also be on the registration for the car. If this is true, then it means since he co-signed he is also the owner of the car?

Reason i ask is because i transfered my plates and she printed out the receipt showing my dad is also registered for my car. Is it necessary to have him on there?
 
wel you have your answer his name on paper

but no doesnt have to be there but if he sign paper work and you registration at dmv they go by whos name on tittle yours or his which tel who owns car anyone can redister it with paper tittle wil be in their name
