My dad and mom borrowed our Wii

They had some friends over from Church tonight and this afternoon they asked if they could borrow our Wii. My parents are 66. Their friends are about the same age. By the time the 3 couples left their house two of the couples said they were going to probably buy a Wii

Seems Nintendo did something right.

My Aunt bought a Wii because she played mine at my Grandparent's. She's in her early-fourties. She's a Pro in Bowling and Tennis

They are getting a recently untapped market. My parents never cared about my XBox and never once asked to play it. I can't get them off my Wii when they are over. When my sons friends come over they play the hell out of it as well. Mostly Excite Truck. I play Madden as often as I can (not much unfortunately).

I realize the people leaving smart ass comments seem to think any good thing said about the Wii makes their dicks shorter for some reason, but that wasn't the purpose. Wii has made me interested in consoles again. November last year I had no intention of getting any console. I like my PC for games. But now that I am LOVING my Wii I am guessing that this time next year I will probably have a 360 or PS3 depending on what games I plan on getting.

So don't take it personal Catch-22, HotSauce0034, r81gsr95, and sj23. I know somewhere in your 12 year old minds you think something good said about the Wii is somehow an insult against you. But that is your emotional hang up, not mine. But you'll probably grow out of it at some point.
