My Criminal background is stopping me from getting into the Army?

Ok, I have recently tried to get into the Army. I really want to go but the only problem is, my juvenile history is really messed up. And I have like one adult charge. Is it still possible to get in? Maybe if I knew people that were higher than the recruiter? Like the commander. I need help. Thanks
