I have a wireless adapter for my 360 which is in the basement and I have a wireless router and modem on my desktop on the first floor. Needless to say I have a very slow connection if any. I have a direct TV receiver next to my 360. can I connect an ether net or USB cord to that and my 360 and get service from there?

i wouldn't blame the range of the wireless. you probably just have a bad internet supplier

no you would not be able to do that but you should try moving ur xbox to the first floor just to see if its ur wireless range or if it ur connection and if its the range try moving ur 360 to a different location in ur house or running a enthernet cable(net cord) from ur router to ur basement.and if its ur conection ur screwed

you should be able to. I use a wireless in my basement and my router is on the first floor but my connection is fine but idk i guess its worth a shot

No i dont think you can but dont trust me on this and also i have a crappy connection with the adapter and it was 100 bucks wich was alot
