My Computer melts flash drives. How do I make it stop?

I just built a computer with brand new parts. Everything works fine (I'm posting this from it) but whenever I plug in a flash drive it super heats within 5 seconds, and I've lost 3 flash drives so far. All other USB devices work just fine. Mouse and keyboard work perfectly, so does USB wifi stick. I'm afraid to plug in my portable hard drive or any other flash drives. Will somebody please help me? The motherboard is an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3. Someone has already suggested bent pins, but I'm sure thats not the case.
