My Comcast receiver wont turn on but my tv will?

I have a Comcast receiver made by moterola and it has no buttons on it. The only way i can turn it on is by using the remote. I know the remote isnt dead because because my tv will turn on. i dont know if by moving it screwed it up. i moved it to one spot then moved it back to where it used to be. i made sure 6,000 times everything was plugged in. i KNOW everthign is plugged in. i dont get it. lol
