It all started about a year ago just now, our group of friends went shopping, and i was new to the group, but was very close friends with lots of the ppl in it, there is a girl in the group i spoke to had a laugh with who i have only spoke to occasionally over the years, but i could tell she was a genuine down to earth girl, so a month later she got my msn, and she spoke to me loads, i loved her as a friend and shared tons of things in common with her and thought she was a lovely person who i could connect with well, she always looked out for me and in the next 5 months on msn she always spoke to me regularly, eventually i fell in love with her after those 5 months, 3 weeks later i confessed my love and things went awkward for the next 3 to 4 months, eventually she told me to forget about it, and gradually she kept speaking to me less, and now never speaks to me even though she is the closest friend i've ever had, what can i do to rekindle the friendship? i'm still in love with her but can't get over her, i just want to be friends now, but she has found more interesting friends and it saddens me as she was once very close to me 
should i ask her why she has stopped talking to me? i remember i once accidentally said something wrong, and it sounded like i said i would stop talking to her, and she was surprised and asked if i would, and i quickly said no and realised the words came out wrong, but i speak to her often now, but she now has no enthusiasm for me as a friend and i'm still in love her what can i do to rekindle the friendship
