my chevy malibu has lack of power when accelerating?

when the engine is cool it drives fine, when it gets heated it lagges sometime when accelerating their is no engine lights on or anything, i will let off the gas and hit it again n it will go. just not sure what it could be please help thanks it just seem like their isn't power when accelerating when the engine gets warm
