I have a 2004 chevy impala. Today while I was driving my battery light kept flashing on and off.
After I got back in and started it up my headlights, battery and interior lights were blinking rapidly while it was running. When I rev the engine everything would smooth back out but when I let off the gas it would start again. Then I was hitting the gas again but the flickering continued and it seemed like it would not go above 3k rpm until finally everything just slowly died out and it wouldnt start again.
I then put in a new batt and everything started up and seems to be running right but my batt light inside the car is still on. I hooked it up to avolt meter and it was only reading about 11.94 volts..
Any ideas??
