my chevy 87 caprice brougham has a complete vinyl roof or soft top which covers

the whole roof? can i take the all the vinyl roof off COMPLETELY if so what will it look like will it look like any other hardtop caprice

One problem i have seen doing this, is if the vinyl top has any cracks or other openings where water can get through the metal underneath it may be rusted.
