like i said, my chain keeps coming off my mountain bike. here are some factors that i hope will help you in finding out what is wrong. i usually ride in high gear and at a fast speed. i usually ride on cement and road, but but it came out twice while i was biking off road. another time when i went over a speed bump. and once while i was turning. i keep my bike in good condition and only ride in the rain once.
 
Try tuning up your bike. Sometimes the front and rear derailleurs need to adjusted. It happens on my road bike with very few bumps, I can imagine that on your MTB your have way more bumps and stuff. Either take the bike to the shop and get a tune up, or watch these videos and try it yourself.

start by checking your barrel adjustments... That may fix it with out having to go to the videos.

If it keeps coming off on the same gear you need to adjust the limit screw on the front or rear derailleur.
