I got some catfish, clown loaches and angelfish 2 weeks ago and on sunday when i was cleaning out the filter i realised one of my catfish was floating around, not swimming but still breathing. When i took a closer look i found little white spots all over it, so i realised this was probably white spot. When i looked at the rest of my fish, the clown loaches and other catfish had the same problem, little white spots, although they were acting normally.
The angelfish did not have any spots on them. Anyway i bought some white spot treatment on monday, and i put the temperature up a degree or two. Unfortunately they have all died now. The angelfish are still unaffected and have no symptoms of having the white spot.
Im going to keep treating the water to make sure all the parasites are killed off. Is this just white spot? or is this something different? And how come the angelfish are unaffected by it? Any advice on what to do to prevent white spot in the future?
