My boyfriend's cat is very protective of my puppy's food, when I feed the puppy (Lily) the cats first reaction is to try to eat it and attacks Lily if she comes near it. Now Lily will not eat, I have tried to lock the cat up when I feed her, I have also tried feeding both at the same time in different places, but nothing seems to work. I am scared my dog is going to get sick because she wants to eat but is scared of the cat coming from somewhere and attacking....any suggestions?
Yes, even if the cat is in another room Lily will still not eat, she will go nowhere near her food dish anymore. I even tried switching her food bowl but nothing seems to work.
