...at home? My most beloved and best buddy, a 14 year old orange tabby cat, passed away on June 10th. I plan to get another cat when we get back from our vacation in early September. (Though I'd love to get one sooner, I think it best not to leave a new kitty alone so soon after adopting.) Anyways, I have a great cat tree, a wonderful kitty bed, and lots of cat toys that I would like to give to my new friend. I was wondering if, even after a thorough cleaning, my former cat's scent might keep my new cat from enjoying these great items. I hate to retire them when they have so much more useful life left in them. If anyone has experience prepping a house with a prior cat's smell for a newcomer please share your thoughts. I want my new friend to have a good start.
