My cat is constipated and the vet isn't helping... neither is stool...

...softener.. any home remedy ideas? Just desperate here for ideas that will help clear out her blockage... The vet isn't being of much assistance at this time cause the cat is old and they don't seem to want to be bothered... the point of this question though is remedy ideas... any ideas would be appreciated
