my cat has weird bug can anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

im not sure what it is.. its to big to be a flea...it seems to be flat looking..its not a tick...it crawls in there fur but doesnt seem to be biting them like fleas do.. i just found it today...its not on our beds or any place they sleep...just in there fur.....the one i got out jumped...there arent alot of them on there fur...i asked my family and they have only seen them like one or two times before

i am bad at asking questions... i was woneriing if anyone knew what it could be....

~ not tiny.. maybe a little bit bigger than an ant
~ seem to be flat ish
~ doesnt seem to be biting the cat..just living in its fur
~ not multiplying like fleas would
~ not a tick
~ doesnt seem to be infesting anything the cat lays on

any ideas? please thank you
 
It could be a flea because there are different types of fleas that look different. Whatever it is you should get the cat treated for parasites...I'm guessing flea/tick meds will take care of it. Maybe a vet can tell you what the bugs are and what to do about them.
