It has been almost 6wks since my cat had her kittens & I was always told that the kittens could be adopted out by 6wks of age & I already have adoptive family's for 2 of them (so far) coming to get them on Monday.
I have kept the mama cat away from them now for 2 days just so I could have them completely weaned & litter box trained before they go to their new homes.
The kittens are doing fine with the weaning & training but now I'm hearing that 6wks is too young to allow them to leave their ma so I'm a bit confused.
My question is... Is it ok or not ok for me to keep them away from their ma for a few days just to wean & train them & is it ok for them to leave their ma completely at 6wks of age?
I have heard that giving them up earlier than 6wks can result in behavior problems but is 6wks too young or not?
